Watercolour Play

This week we started exploring the use of pastels in art.  Today we learned about painting with watercolors and we discussed how it is different from using acrylic or tempra paints.  It was amazing to see how creative the children were when I told them, "play with the paint", "do whatever you want"!  They independently discovered what happens when you add more water to the color vs. less.  Plan to be framing some amazing art for your walls during Spring Break!

Hats Off To Heritage!

HATS OFF TO HERITAGE!

Today we continued to learn about a very famous artist named Kandinsky.  He was one of the first Abstract Artists.
Some of the things we did today are:
We were making our Kandinsky circles, by copying his work. (Michela and Kyle)
We played mini sticks in the hallway. (Lily)
We had reading time and worked in our number books. (Alec)

Don't forget tomorrow is ROCK & ROLL DAY!!!!

Snow Storm on March 18th

Can you believe it was +21 last year at this time.

Social media can be a scary thing for some of us.  With the encouragement of my colleagues and the excitement of my Kindergarten students I am jumping right in!  We are looking forward to sharing our classroom learning with family and friends and posting LOTS of pictures!
